Program

NordiCHI 2026 will have two pre-conference days and three main conference days. The conference is an in-person conference; there is no hybrid or remote attendance.

Pre-conference (Oct 3–4, 2026)

The pre-conference will feature the Doctoral Consortium, Tutorials, Workshops, and social activities.

  • The Doctoral Consortium is held on Saturday. Please see the Doctoral Consortium webpage.
  • The conference includes in total 6 Tutorials: 2 on Saturday, 3 on Sunday, and 1 during the main conference (Wed). Please see the Tutorials webpage.
  • The conference includes in total 34 Workshops: 15 on Saturday and 19 on Sunday. Please see the Workshops webpage.
  • Weekend social activities include Neural Sync – Human Club Interaction (Sat, Oct 3) and a Ghost Walk (Sun, Oct 4). Please see the Social Program webpage.

Main Conference (Oct 5–7, 2026)

The main conference includes presentations of Research Papers, Panels, Critiques, Arts-Based Approaches, Industry Experience Papers, Late Breaking Work and Demos. In addition, it will feature Newcomers’ Breakfast and Community Lunches, as well as social programme.

  • Keynotes at the conference include Professor Yvonne Rogers, Professor Mattia Thibault, and Senior designer and Deputy Professor Pontus Wärnestål. Please see the Keynote Speakers webpage.

  • Following the main conference, participants can attend an Industry Visit to the Sustainable Technology Hub at Wärtsilä (Wed, Oct 7) and a Tour to the Kvarken Archipelago (Thu, Oct 8). Please see the Social Program webpage.
