- At least one author of each accepted poster must register for NordiCHI 2026 and present the work at the conference.
- All poster sessions will take place at the Tervahovi building, University of Vaasa, in the lobby area in front of Restaurant Mathilda.
- The poster size is A1, portrait orientation (594 × 841 mm / 23.39 × 33.11 inches).
- No poster template is provided.
- Posters will be attached to the poster boards using pins provided by the conference organizers.
Poster Printing
Authors have two options:
1. Order printing through the conference
A submission form will be provided for uploading the poster and paying the printing fee. Posters will be printed by a local printing company and delivered directly to the conference venue.
Technical requirements for the files
- Size: A1 (594 × 841 mm).
- File format: Print-ready PDF.
- Text: Texts must be in vector format or as fonts (fonts embedded in the PDF). Do not save text as images.
- Resolution (image quality): Image resolution should be at least 150–300 dpi at the original size to ensure a sharp print result.
- Bleed: Add 3 mm bleeds on all sides and include crop marks.
- Safe Area / Margins: Do not place important text or logos too close to the edge. Leave at least a 10 mm margin inside the cutting edge.
- Color space: CMYK.
- File naming: Please name your file clearly: name and poster number.
- Maximum file size: 1.0 GB.
- Proofreading: Please proofread your file carefully before submission. The printing house is not responsible for any spelling or layout errors in the provided file.
Material options
- Paper poster: 150 g/m² poster paper.
- Fabric poster: High-quality, lightweight, and durable printing fabric. The fabric poster can be folded or rolled.
Schedule and delivery
The finished posters will be delivered to the University of Vaasa on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Due to production times, the file deadlines depend on the chosen material:
- Fabric poster: Production time is 7 working days. Print-ready PDF files must be uploaded to the order form by Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the latest.
- Paper poster: Production time is 5 working days. Print-ready PDF files must be uploaded to the order form by Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the latest.
2. Print independently
Authors may print their poster themselves and bring it to the conference.
Poster Content
Your poster should include:
- Title of the work
- Authors’ names and affiliations
- A concise overview of the research
- Clear illustrations of key findings, concepts, methods, or contributions
- A visually appealing and easy-to-follow design
You may also include QR codes linking to online materials such as videos, prototypes, or project websites.
Please note: Power outlets and audiovisual/computing equipment will not be available during the poster sessions.
Poster Sessions
Poster presentations are divided into three sessions:
- 5 October 2026: Session 1 (12:00–13:00)
- 6 October 2026: Session 2 (12:00–13:00)
- 7 October 2026: Session 3 (12:00–13:00)
- Each poster has been assigned a poster number shown in the detailed main conference program on the website: Main Conference Program.
- Poster boards are marked with corresponding numbers.
- Locate your assigned board using the poster schedule.
- Please arrive between 08:00 and 09:00 on your presentation day to mount your poster.
- Keep your poster displayed throughout the entire day.
- Be present at your poster during the official poster session to discuss your work with conference participants.
- Please remove your poster at the end of your presentation day by 17:30.
- Posters left on the boards after the session may be removed and discarded by the organizers.
