Started in 2022, VME4CHI is a multi-disciplinary HCI research community at the University of Vaasa. We welcome students, doctoral students, and researchers from all fields working with topics related to HCI to join us for presentations and discussion. The group offers the possibility to present your work and discuss current research in the field. We gather every other month at VME Interaction Design Environment (TF4105 at Technobothnia) and online (request Zoom link from the organizers).
On Thu 12.6. at 9:00–10:30, we will sum up experiences from multimodal research conducted in the VME environment over the past year. The meeting will begin with short introductions by Laura Havinen, Tinja Myllyviita, Mikael Nylund, and Petri Nikitin, who will present their previous studies that have utilized eye tracking, GSR measurements, and heart rate sensors—using one or more of these modalities.
After that, we will continue by collecting and documenting best practices in a discussion-based format. Everyone is welcome to participate, comment, and ask questions!
NB! This time we will meet only online!
This is the last VME4CHI before summer break, but if you want to present your work in our autumn gatherings, please contact laura.havinen@uwasa.fi
We wish you a warm welcome!
