Started in 2022, VME4CHI is a multi-disciplinary HCI research community at the University of Vaasa. We welcome students, doctoral students, and researchers from all fields working with topics related to HCI to join us for presentations and discussion. The group offers the possibility to present your work and discuss current research in the field. We gather every other month at VME Interaction Design Environment (TF4105 at Technobothnia) and online (request Zoom link from the organizers).
On Thu 16.4. at 14:00-15:00, we will have two presentations:
- Silja Helin will present her master thesis related to players’ experiences of deceptive design in online gambling user interfaces
- Miinu Murtomäki will present her master thesis related to building trust in menstrual tracking applications
Please note, that we will meet at Vuokko (Cafe Oscar lobby) instead of VME this time. Also, Zoom link is available.
We will have our next VME4CHI autumn 2026.
Want to present your work there? Please contact laura.havinen@uwasa.fi
