Started in 2022, VME4CHI is a multi-disciplinary HCI research community at the University of Vaasa. We welcome students, doctoral students, and researchers from all fields working with topics related to HCI to join us for presentations and discussion. The group offers the possibility to present your work and discuss current research in the field. We gather every other month at VME Interaction Design Environment (TF4105 at Technobothnia) and online (request Zoom link from the organizers).
On Tue 18.3. at 14:30-15:30, Assistant professor Naomi Woods and Associate Professor Jonna Järveläinen from the Faculty of IT, University of Jyväskylä will present the Human Perspectives on Cybersecurity research group, and their own research focusing on for example how mental health such as depression and anxiety affects cybersecurity behavior and what is the current human role in the cybersecurity literature in light of the two popular metaphors (explicit metaphor the weakest link and implicit metaphor the frightened animal).
We will have our next VME4CHI in May 2025. Want to present your work there? Please contact laura.havinen@uwasa.fi
We wish you a warm welcome!
