Linkki – University of Vaasa Staff Association for AKAVA Professional and Managerial Staff
What is Linkki?
Staff association Linkki was established in November 1997. Our purpose is to act as staff association for University of Vaasa employees who are members of a union belonging to Akava Confederation of Unions for Professional and Managerial Staff in Finland. Linkki is the local staff association for Akava members especially in administrative services, IT services, specialist and supervisory positions.
Our mission is
- to promote JUKO’s (Negotiation Organisation for Public Sector Professionals) and local level communication
- to boost local lobbying within the framework provided by the JUKO University Advisory Board
- to make initiatives to the university to for example develop the work well-being activities
- to organize briefings, training events, field trips and recreational activities for our members
- to organize meetings on current matters

Linkki has almost 50 members from different services and units at the university. The membership fee is 25 euros per calendar year.
