The project creates new knowledge to speed up the development of the regional energy system towards carbon neutrality concerning renewable energy.

The work is done from a technical, economic and community point of view, and it aims to provide answers to three project objectives: 1. Understanding of the region’s conditions and needs for the development of a carbon-neutral energy system from a techno-economic point of view, 2. Understanding of the attitude and perspectives of experts, decision makers and citizens towards renewable energy, and 3. Identify business models of a carbon-neutral energy system, as well as bottlenecks and resource and skill gaps related to their implementation.
