NordiCHI 2026 welcomes proposals for tutorials. Tutorials are an integral part of the conference and are essential platforms for sharing theoretical knowledge and practical experiences within the NordiCHI community. Tutorials will be held during the pre-conference days (October 3<\/span>th<\/span> or October 4<\/span>th<\/span>) that <\/span>take place in-person at \u00c5bo Akademi University in Vaasa, Finland.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>For tutorials specifically targeted towards industry participants, it may be possible to schedule them during the industry-day of the main conference (Wednesday, October 7<\/span>th<\/span>). <\/span>Tutorials at NordiCHI are organized in 90-minute blocks (“slots”). A single tutorial can span 1\u20134 slots, and each organizer may request a maximum of four slots in total. There will be coffee\/lunch breaks between the slots.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is a tutorial?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Tutorials offer practitioners, students and researchers the opportunity to extend their knowledge into new areas of expertise and to learn about specific concepts, methods and techniques from recognized field experts. The NordiCHI 2026 conference would like to offer a wide variety of tutorials for researchers, practitioners, designers, developers, managers and students.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We invite proposals for tutorials focusing on all themes of the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) field, and in particular, we invite tutorials focusing on the theme of the conference: <\/span>Pulse – exploring the energy that drives us<\/span><\/i>. Thus, we encourage instructors to adopt a holistic and broad approach that includes not only sustainability but also human, cultural, and social energy, with tutorials focusing on new and emerging areas, methods and technologies, or to experiment with new forms of instruction and innovative perspectives in an HCI context. We also welcome proposals for tutorials on foundational themes of HCI.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The accepted tutorials will run in the university lecture or meeting rooms, the size of which is determined by the number of registered participants. We can provide a projector and screen. Additional technical requirements must be discussed with the chairs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Submissions should NOT be anonymised. See submission guidelines<\/a> for details on how to submit. Submissions can be up to four pages long (excluding references) in the ACM standard single-column format.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
