The Call for papers is in conjunction with the 3rd Workshop on Recent Trends and New Developments in Sustainable, Green, and International Finance, jointly organized by Audencia Business School, EDHEC Business School, IÉSEG School of Management, Côte d’Azur University, and the University of Vaasa. The Workshop will be held at the Nice Campus of EDHEC Business School on June 11–12, 2026. The Special Issue is open to the Workshop participants. Papers not presented in the Workshop are also eligible for submission if the topic is aligned with the theme of sustainable, green, and international finance.
Green, sustainable, and international finance are at the forefront of academic research and societal relevance in the context of environmental and social challenges, especially climate change and increasing economic uncertainty. Examining new emerging trends in these interconnected areas is important for several reasons. First, it facilitates identifying financial solutions for climate change mitigation and adaptation, especially in emerging economies that rely heavily on international capital. Second, it improves understanding of climate-related risks that can spread across countries and affect global financial stability. Third, it addresses challenges like regulatory fragmentation, data inconsistency, and greenwashing, which can have adverse effects on sustainable finance markets. In a nutshell, studying the links between green, sustainable, and international finance supports the design of financial instruments and policies that accelerate the transition to a low-carbon, inclusive global economy.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
– Investment and greenwashing
– Corporate behavior and greenwashing
– Fighting greenwashing
– Green financial instruments
– Green innovation
– Carbon markets
– Financial solutions in response to climate change
– Risk management and portfolio allocation with green assets
– Sustainable investing
