KVANTTI-VALTTI – ”QUANTUM-POWER: Quantum computing for business applications in South Ostrobothnia”
Quantum computing can provide unprecedented efficiency in solving certain types of problems in various business operations. The need to seek growth through the digitalisation of business sector has been identified in the regional strategy of South Ostrobothnia.
The KVANTTI-VALTTI (”QUANTUM-POWER”) project strengthens the readiness of South Ostrobothnian companies to adopt quantum computing. The project develops an emerging regional competence base by building a network of companies and experts interested in quantum technologies.
The aim of the project is to identify three ’clusters’ of use cases in South Ostrobothnian business, for each of which a quantum computing-based demonstration will be implemented. Each demo will address a development need or solve a problem in the respective business ’cluster’. The three demos will be piloted in businesses participating in the project. The intent is that through the use of demos, businesses will obtain practical experience in utilising quantum computing. The demos will be used in parallel with the learning materials produced in the project.
The project supports the region’s innovation ecosystem by increasing awareness, lowering adoption barriers and creating pathways for South Ostrobothnian businesses to integrate quantum computing into their digital transformation.
The project work will be completed by July 2027.
