Unitandem<\/strong><\/p>\n

Brush up on your second national language \u2013 Finnish or Swedish! Or improve your skills in German, French, Ukrainian, English, or another language!<\/p>\n

Tandem is a learning method where two students teach each other their native (or near-native) languages through informal meetings, taking turns in both the teacher\u2019s and learner\u2019s roles. It is suitable for all levels, from beginner to advanced, and can complement regular language studies or be taken as a standalone course. The Unitandem course is worth 1\u20135 ECTS credits.<\/p>\n

The course is particularly valuable for Finnish-speaking students who wish to improve their Swedish and Swedish-speaking students who wish to improve their Finnish. At the same time, Unitandem welcomes all students interested in learning and sharing other languages, such as English, German, French, Ukrainian, and many more.<\/p>\n

By studying or offering one of these languages, you\u2019re likely to find a Unitandem partner. Language learning takes place in partnership, following a schedule you and your partner agree on. In addition, the entire Unitandem group meets five times on Teams.<\/p>\n

All course materials are available in the Itslearning platform. Support for navigating the platform will be provided during the Unitandem meeting on Teams.<\/p>\n

To successfully complete the course, you and your Unitandem partner will actively work together on online exercises and submit short blog entries and a group portfolio at the end of the course.<\/p>\n
