Transfer of Completed Credits
The credits for KiVANET language courses are registered in the study register of the higher education institution responsible for the course. The credits are registered according to each institution’s practices and schedules.
Students who have completed a KiVANET language course are responsible for transferring the completed credits to their home institution’s study register. It is recommended to transfer the credits soon after they have been registered. The procedure depends on your home institution.
1. My Studyinfo (Oma Opintopolku) Service
You can use the “My Completed Studies” section in the My Studyinfo service to transfer your credits. To log in, you must authenticate with online banking credentials, a mobile certificate, or an electronic ID card. In the service, you can retrieve your course completion and generate a link to it, which you can then send electronically to your home institution according to their instructions.
2. Transcript of Records
If the method described above is not possible, you can request a transcript of register from the student services of the institution that organised the course. With the transcript, you can transfer the credits according to the practices of your home institution.
If you are unable to transfer your KiVANET credits to your home institution using any of the methods mentioned above, you can request guidance by email: kivanet(at)uef.fi.
Please note that course teachers do not have the practical means to influence the transfer of credits.
