Course description
Content and learning objectives: In Kivanet French 5 you will learn the skills you need if you are planning an exchange, work placement or summer job in a French-speaking country. After completing the course, you will be able to search for job advertisements in French, write a formal email and prepare a CV and cover letter in accordance with language and cultural conventions, describe a job, present a company or organisation and a product or service, and deal with internal communication situations.

Study material: All learning material is on a digital learning platform.
Teaching and assessment methods: The teaching and exercises are on the digital learning platform. Continuous assessment based on oral presentations and weekly written or video assignments. Depending on the type of assignment, the following will be assessed (total score = 5):
- compliance with the assignment
- grammatical accuracy
- correct use of vocabulary
- pronunciation
Assessment scale and criteria: 0-5 / Coursework will be graded on a pass-fail scale. The assessment criteria are based on what is stated in the learning objectives and delivery methods. In order to obtain a pass mark, you must successfully complete the required tasks in accordance with the implementation timetable and attend the online meetings according to the pre-announced timetable.
Workload by delivery mode: independent study 40h, assignments 29h, online meetings 6 x 2h = 12h
Total 81h. One credit corresponds to 27h of student work (3 x 27h = 81h).
Enrolment to the courses in the spring term starts on December 2nd 2024 and ends on January 12th 2025.
