The Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance<\/em> (JAAF<\/em>) Conference<\/strong> will take place 28-31 May, 2023<\/strong> at the Hanken School of Economics, Helsinki, Finland, immediately after the European Accounting Association Annual Congress<\/em>. The conference is arranged in collaboration with the University of Vaasa.<\/p>\n

Plenary Sessions<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Papers accepted to the Plenary Sessions <\/em>will be considered for publication in JAAF<\/em> and will be reviewed according to JAAF <\/em>policies. Although there is an expectation that accepted Plenary Session<\/em> papers will be published in JAAF<\/em>, ultimate acceptance to the journal will be determined according to JAAF<\/em>\u2019s editorial policies.<\/p>\n

C. S. Agnes Cheng and Linda Myers will serve as Editors for Plenary Session<\/em> submissions. Final journal acceptance decisions will be made in consultation with Xiao-Jun Zhang (JAAF<\/em> Editor-in-chief). Papers not accepted for the Plenary Sessions<\/em> will be considered for the Concurrent Sessions<\/em> at the option of the submitting author and can be resubmitted to JAAF <\/em>as regular new submissions.<\/p>\n

Conference expenses for Plenary Session<\/em> presenters will be covered up to the amount of $1,500 USD for one submitting author per accepted paper.<\/p>\n

There will be a best paper award <\/strong>for papers presented in the Plenary Sessions<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Concurrent Sessions<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Papers submitted to the Concurrent Sessions<\/em> only <\/em>as well as papers submitted to the Plenary Sessions <\/em>that are not accepted into the Plenary Sessions <\/em>will be reviewed by Prof. Minna Martikainen and the local program committee (in consultation with the Editor-in-chief). Papers submitted to the Concurrent Sessions<\/em> only<\/em> can be submitted to JAAF <\/em>as regular new submissions at a later date.<\/p>\n

There will be two best paper awards<\/strong> for Concurrent Session<\/em> papers, one for PhD student papers and one for other papers. In the submission, please indicate if any of the authors are PhD students.<\/p>\n
