PAPER SUBMISSION

Please submit your contribution here.

Please click “Submit a paper” to upload your abstract and manuscript. During the process, you have to create an account. With this account you can log in later, using the login box on the left side, to check your documents, edit your abstract or change your personal data.

You do not pay anything now – this is registration only for researchers submitting their papers. Follow instructions found on the Converia website.

A separate registration link for the conference together with payment methods will be opened soon and you will be able to find it under the “Registrations & Fees” tab.

The confirmation of your paper submission will be sent to you automatically by our conference management software. In case of any questions, you can contact the conference organizers at ibconference@uwasa.fi.

Best conference and tutorial paper awards will be granted. There is also cooperation with some journals like the European Journal of International Management (EJIM) and International Journal of Emerging Markets (IJoEM).

CONFERENCE

Paper instructions and deadlines:

Paper submission opens 19 April, 2021.

Participants are kindly invited to submit both competitive papers and work in progress (WIP) papers latest 10 June, 2021.

Kindly select the session to which you mainly target your paper. Information about acceptance will be sent by 28 June, 2021.

The length of the papers should not exceed 25 pages including references, tables, appendices etc. Please, use font Times New Roman 12, double line spacing, and 25 mm margin on all sites. We use double-blind review in our conference so all the submitted conference papers must be anonymous.

The accepted conference papers will be available online, the link will be sent to all participants. If you wish you can send an updated version of your paper for this. These final updated versions of the conference papers (both for competitive and WIP papers) must be delivered at the latest by 28 June, 2021.

Instructions for presentation:

Three paper session: Each paper will have a total of 30 minutes, out of which the author(s) will have 15 minutes for presentation and the remaining 15 minutes is for general discussion.

Four paper session: Each paper will have a total of 22 minutes, out of which the author(s) will have 12 minutes for presentation and the remaining 10 minutes is for general discussion.

DOCTORAL TUTORIAL

Paper instructions and deadlines:

Doctoral tutorial submission opens 10 May, 2021

The deadline for submitting at least a ten-page outline (preferably 10-20 page version) is June 10, 2021.

The doctoral tutorial begins on August 16, 2021 at 9.00 and ends on the same day at 16.00.

Remember to indicate to which session you are referring in your paper.

The accepted conference papers will be available online, the link will be sent to all participants. If you wish you can send an updated version of your paper for this. These final updated versions of the tutorial papers must be delivered at the latest by 10 June, 2021. Information about acceptance will be sent by 28 June, 2021.

The submission for the doctoral tutorial should include the following (all in one PDF-file):

  • Title Page
  • Short abstract
  • Keywords
  • Main text
  • References

The title page should include following information:

  • Title of the work
  • Name of author
  • Title of the author
  • Starting date of doctoral studies
  • Present situation of the studies
  • Affiliation
  • Supervisor(s) of the dissertation

The length of the short abstract should be 300-500 words, font Times New Roman 12 and line spacing 1.15. Include 5 keywords.

The main text should be written in font Times New Roman 12 and line spacing 1.15. The length of the papers should not exceed 20 pages including references, tables, appendices, etc.

There will be an award for the best doctoral research proposal/paper.

Instructions for presentation:

Each paper will have a total of 45 minutes. The author will have 15 minutes for presentation, discussants will have 20 minutes for comments and the remaining 10 minutes is for general discussion.
