Rebekah Rousi<\/strong><\/a>, Associate Professor, Communication and Digital Economy<\/p>\n

Rebekah Rousi holds a PhD in Cognitive Science with extensive experience of research and teaching in Human-Technology Interaction. Her main research specialtise is in User Experience and human experience (semiotics, communication, logic, culture) with technology. Rousi’s research interests include: design; embodied interactions and experience; human-robot interaction; human-AI interaction; posthumanism; environmental interactions (e.g., elevator and arhitectural experience); ethics; emotions; trust; and sustainability. Rousi also has a background in cultural studies, critical theory and contemporary art. She has trained and practiced as a performance artist and printmaker since 2003.<\/p>\n

Ville Vakkuri<\/strong><\/a>, Postdoctoral Researcher<\/p>\n

Ville Vakkuri holds a PhD in Information Systems from University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 where he defended his doctoral dissertation “Implementing AI Ethics in Software Development” in spring 2022. Vakkuri\u2019s research interest lie in AI ethics, privacy, and human emotions in relation to intelligent systems. Vakkuri\u2019s research drives towards ethically minded, human centric and socially aware software engineering.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Hanna-Kaisa<\/a><\/p>\n

Hanna-Kaisa Alanen<\/strong><\/a>, Doctoral Researcher<\/p>\n

Hanna-Kaisa has studied group mind, relying on the universal framework of fashion. Lived experiences. A case study of a tram experience, contextualized in a city (Tampere). Interviews done with ordinary people of varying ages. Collaboration with Nysse (Tampere regional transport). Research questions, e.g., anticipated attitudes (interpersonal & intrapersonal) as well as active mental representations on the tram whilst it\u2019s moving (presence). Latter, e.g., focusing on the interior, space and generalized others, and the city and its transformations. Socio-cultural perspective. Looking at self-elements as well as the building blocks of design (human-technology interactions). Symbolic interactionism. Looking for \u2018we\u2019 experiences, i.e., social emotions.<\/p>\n

Satu Rantakokko<\/strong><\/a>, Postdoctoral Researcher<\/p>\n

Satu defended her PhD dissertation on XR-based technical instructions, and the possibilities and challenges that XR brings to field of technical communication, including the issue of data privacy.<\/p>\n

Emmanuel Anti<\/a>,<\/strong> Doctoral Researcher<\/p>\n

Anti is a PhD researcher in Information Systems, specializing in insider threats and deviant behaviors in cybersecurity. With an MSc in Information Systems and MEng in Full Stack Software Development, he focuses on creating ethical, secure, and user-friendly digital systems to address cybersecurity challenges and enhance trust.<\/p>\n

\"Tinja<\/p>\n

Tinja Myllyviita<\/strong><\/a>, Research Assistant<\/p>\n

Tinja Myllyviita is a master\u2019s student in Communication Studies with a focus on digital media and works as a research assistant for BUGGED. Myllyviita\u2019s research interests revolve around HCI, parasocial behaviour, and emotions and interactions with evolving tech and social media.<\/p>\n
