Databases in accounting and finance are ONLY for students and researchers of accounting and finance and can only be used for studies and research. These databases can NOT be used for commercial purposes.

Orbis is a database you can use immediately by yourself. For Fitch you can apply access using email address mentioned on Fitch’s presentation page. For LSEG’s databases we have a limited number of licenses for students. However, it is usually easiest to ask Jaakko Tyynelä to retrieve the data. Bloomberg can be accessed in Bloomberg Lab. However, most databases are not in common use. In order to get data from those databases you should contact Senior Researcher Jaakko Tyynelä. Recommended way to get the data is to send email to jaty(a)uwasa.fi. Details, like countries, companies, shares, variables and time periods should be described as precisely as possible. You can also call 029 449 8512.

You can usually get the data through email. Time of delivery is usually a couple of days, but you should be prepared to wait for a week.
